DAVID REGUEIRO TRIO

After more than a dozen albums and hundreds of concerts in different countries, David Regueiro is considered one of the most outstanding gypsy jazz guitarists in Spain.

At the beginning of 2020, David Regueiro Trio -with Iago Reigosa on guitar and Juyma Estévez on double bass- released their new album called “Areal”, which features 9 original compositions.

This album is rooted in the music of Django Reinhard and the gypsy jazz style as a starting point, but other influences can be found such as American swing or bebop. The trio provides a rigorous and respectful approach based on tradition, while remaining fresh and innovative.

PRESS

Beautiful and lyrical album from the west coast of Spain (just north of Portugal).
I have known David for many years and I always look forward to listening to his new albums. I especially enjoy the two songs that are accompanied by the clarinet.
On this CD, the 9 tracks are his own composition.
The first tune is a charming tribute to Samoreau, France, the famous camping site where the whole world gathers to play Django Reinhardt’s music.
Bravo for the album, my friend!
